Cool Vibes at Cultural Celebration

Black History Month was commemorated at the Arts Market through storytelling, drums, dance, and textile crafts on a beautiful Saturday in Palmer Park. This vibrant monthly event featuring over 100 local artist had record crowds and a great time was had by all!

In the Kids Tent, Storyteller Mama Saba told tales of African Folklore with positive messages for the audience. Later the children created percussion crafts and textile art.

Positive vibrations and African dancers from the powerful Bamboula 2000 created a party in Palmer Park that had patrons dancing in the sunshine.

Sensational and sultry Troi Bechet sang a tribute to African-American Jazz vocalists~ bringing a culturally rich day to a close. A big thanks to Renew Our Music for funding Ms. Bechet's performance!
